We drove in to Lampasas from Waco Thursday evening and hit a blizzard just northeast of Lampasas. The snow was heavy with large flakes but it was melting as soon as it hit the ground. As the temperature plummeted to the low twenties it started to stick. We found several touchy areas of black ice on the way home but made it without incident, just ask my wife about it. We were only able to find part of our sheep to give an extra feeding that night. The next morning we woke up to a 17 degree biting cold and a cover of ice and snow. We were able to locate all the sheep and our Guard Llama, Casino. We put out a feed mixture of sweet feed and whole corn. They attacked the feed immediately and I am sure it helped them in extreme cold. We also put out some bird feed for the birds and set off the deer feeder. Remember livestock and wildlife in this bad weather and do what you can for them. Wild Ed
